Trenton is Celebrating

On February 18th, eat a scoop to celebrate #remission for and #happybirthday to Trenton, because #kidsgetcancertoo. #ALL

Trenton is strong, energetic, brave, loving, smart and such a blessing. He loves his family very much and is so good to his two little brothers.  Also in his family are his Mom, Dad and family dog.  His family likes to watch movies together, play games and Legos, and doing pretty much anything outdoor-sy.

Trenton was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in the spring of 2013. He had no other noticeable symptoms other than a rash his family thought was from the sun. The doctors thought he had a virus, but did a couple of blood tests. His leukemia was so new that they almost missed it. Not long after, his family was called and told Trenton had cancer and they needed to go start chemo at the hospital. Close to 4 years later, he is out of treatment and still currently in remission. He’s had countless hospital visits, pokes, surgeries, medications and so many other appointments for Physical therapy, splints, and all of the other appointments you need to tackle the side effects of chemo. He still needs PT and has some other issues as a result of treatment, but otherwise a happy, healthy and sort of back to whatever normal is kind of kid!

Trenton’s birthday is on ice cream for breakfast day!  His mom said, “Needless to say we love eating ice cream for breakfast to celebrate his birthday as well as spreading awareness and reflecting on how lucky we are and how we need to keep working to help families fighting now and in the future.”
