Laney is Resting

On February 18th, eat a scoop to remember #laneybug, because #kidsgetcancertoo. @eaticecreamday #AML #makeawish

Laney (probably better known as Laneybug) was a sassy and spunky little lady from the start.  She loved life and always lived it to the fullest.  She has always been able to put a smile on the faces of those around her.  When Laney was diagnosed, she showed her family how to be strong and brave no matter what the circumstance.  No matter what she faced each day (good or bad) she tackled it with a smile.  She loved her family with all of her heart and loved Jesus even more.

She is one of four children, Logan is 12, Mason is 10, Chloe is 7 and Laney just celebrated her 5th birthday with Jesus.  Her family’s favorite thing to do is spend time together.  They enjoy going on adventures, traveling, spending time with extended family, going to church, reading and playing games together, watching movies, watching the Twins, Wolves & Vikings play ball, and enjoying the time outside.

Laney was diagnosed with AML on February 5, 2015; two short weeks after her 2nd birthday.  In July, she received a bone marrow transplant from her big brother, Logan.  In March of 2016 Laney was officially cancer free and was able to enjoy her Make A Wish trip to Florida with her siblings and parents.

On May 6, 2016 Laney relapsed and the cancer cells had mutated.  Laney fought with courage and determination and through it all never stopped smiling.  She moved to Heaven on November 29, 2016 and is now completely healed for eternity.  Her family says, “It wasn’t the way we had asked for her to be healed, but she is healed nonetheless.”  Her passion is truly an inspiration and her family will continue to love her and share her story with the world.
