Daisy a beautiful almost 2 year old girl. Before cancer, Daisy’s parents were just a typical husband and wife in Australia, adjusting to life with 2 kids. Jack was 2.5 years old and Daisy a newborn. They loved going to the park and taking their border collie Dash camping and holidays by the beach. Daisy was a welcome addition to the family and was an a happy, smiley and cheeky baby.
When Daisy was 4 months old, on New Year’s Eve 2019, she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). She ended up with a blood infection, pneumonia and a fungal infection which caused her lungs to collapse and she needed a chest drain to remove over a liter of fluid from her left lung in May/June.
Daisy (and her parents tag teamed) 240 days in hospital before they were discharged and entered into the maintenance phase in September.
Currently, she is doing well in and has a year of treatment left to complete.
