Before Abby’s diagnosis, she was attending preschool full-time. She enjoyed playing soccer on Saturdays and playing in her church classroom on Sundays.
One of Abby and her family’s favorite memories together is when, “during one of our family walks, Abby and her big sister Lily, discovered a green, grassy hill. They rolled down that hill over and over, giggling the entire time.”
Now, due to her weakened immune system, Abby is not able to attend school or be around others. She spends 2-4 days a week at the Children’s Hospital, one hour away from her home. There, she receives IV Chemo medication and is regularly put under anesthesia to get chemo injected into her spinal column.
